Current Responsibilities


John is a Partner in the Actuarial Services team, which specialises in actuarial and consultancy services to employee benefit clients. He advises employers and trustees on a wide range of employee benefit issues in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and internationally, focusing on pension matters such as establishment of defined contribution schemes, actuarial valuations and the restructuring of existing defined benefit schemes.

He is responsible for accounting disclosures for pension schemes within the Group and advises a large number of clients on accounting disclosure requirements under FRS17, IAS19 and FAS and the setting of assumptions. He also advises on the impact of any changes to the standards.


Experience


John joined the firm in 1997, qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries on 2003 and was made a Partner in 2009. He has advised a large number of companies regarding their accounting disclosure requirments and corporate transactions and has spoken at a number of conferences. John also led the development of the Blue Riband range of pension products for the Group which were launched in 2008.
