Current Responsibilities
Michelle is a partner and advises Channel Islands, Isle of Man, UK and international clients on a range of employee benefits issues, focusing on pension
matters such as scheme design, actuarial valuations and regulatory compliance.
Michelle also advises on the actuarial aspects of personal injury claims in the Channel Islands including the valuation of the loss of earnings and pension rights and long-term care costs.
She is responsible for the publication of the Guernsey Practice Notes on pension arrangements, which is issued jointly by the Group with the Guernsey
Income Tax Authority. In addition she is the Isle of Man specialist for the Group.
Michelle is also editor of Bandwagon, the Group’s quarterly newsletter.
She is a director of BWCI Consulting Limited, which specialises in actuarial and consultancy services to employee benefit clients.
Experience
Michelle joined the firm in 1986, qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1991 (being only the second actuary to qualify locally in the Channel
Islands) and was made a partner in 2003. She holds a Scheme Actuary Certificate issued by the Institute of Actuaries. Amongst her achievements, she has
helped to develop the technical research function within the BWCI Group.
