Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst at Island Global Research

Key Responsibilities

Island Global Research undertakes research on the economic, social and environmental issues impacting our islands. We generate data and insights that can enable better decisions.

The duties of this role relate to design, co-ordination and analysis of market research projects. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Application of quantitative and qualitative research methods for data collection, including:
    • Development of research tools ( e.g. questionnaires and topic guides for qualitative research )
    • Co-ordination, marketing and monitoring of online and face-to-face surveys
    • Co-ordination and facilitation of focus groups or one-to-one interviews
  • Marketing research activities using social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Analysis of statistical data in Microsoft Excel
  • Preparation of reports in Microsoft PowerPoint that reflect a clear understanding of the analysis and interpretation of the data collected
  • Ensuring all research activities comply with professional standards ( e.g. Market Research Society’s Code of Conduct )
  • Liaising with clients and attending client meetings

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 A Levels
  • University degree is preferred but not essential
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good working knowledge of social media
