This role is for a newly appointed senior administrator wishing to expand their knowledge/experience of pension schemes or an experienced senior administrator wishing to develop into an assistant manager role. Existing assistant managers are also welcome to apply. The duties of this role relate to the management and administration of local and international pension schemes. The level at which the appointment is made will be determined by previous experience. The duties may include but are not limited to the following depending on the level recruited to.
What you would be doing
- Checking and supervising the maintenance of membership records
- Checking and supervising the payment of pensions and other benefits/expenses
- Checking and supervising the investment of pension scheme contributions
- Checking and supervising the calculation of member benefits
- Liaison with clients, banks and investment managers
- Liaison with pension scheme members
- Assisting with the take on of new clients
- Training junior staff members
Assistant manager duties
At Assistant manager level there will be the requirement to assist in the day to day management of the pension administration team that looks after the client which includes supporting the manager in -
- Ensuring adherence to client service level standards and group procedures, controls and guidelines
- Effectively planning and organising personal and team workloads
- Effectively prioritising and delegating work to ensure all client and internal deadlines are met
- Identifying and resolving any staff training needs with the help of the manager
- Developing and maintaining good working relationships with all clients
- Attending client meetings when required
- The smooth implementation of new business
