Michelle is a Partner in the Pensions Consultancy Team and is the Head of Employee Benefits Research for the Group. She is also the editor of Bandwagon, the Group’s quarterly newsletter, and leads the Group’s public relations and charitable activities.
She advises a range of Channel Islands, Isle of Man, UK and international clients on employee benefit issues, including scheme design, funding valuations, regulatory compliance and project management. She is also a key member of the Actuarial Opinions Team, and specialises in the actuarial aspects of personal injury claims in the Channel Islands. She has provided a number of expert witness reports covering the application of the Ogden Tables in a Channel Islands context including the valuation of loss of earnings and pension rights and the valuation of long-term care costs. As Head of Employee Benefits Research Michelle is responsible for the technical research function within the Group.
Michelle became a Partner of the Group in 2003, and has been with the Group since 1986, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1991. She holds a UK Scheme Actuary Certificate and is a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner. In 2016 Michelle became a Certificate member of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI), having completed the PMI’s Certificate in DC Governance.
